December 9th Newsletter

Sooner Head South to Familiar Territory
How bout dem Sooners!!! Everyone was writing this team off after the second Saturday in October. This team has the grit, moxie, and talent to go all the way. The revenge tour stop takes the Sooners to South Beach and to the Orange Bowl against the team that demolished them one year ago. I can promise you one thing, Stoney’s will be rockin’ out New Years Eve! We hope that you will come out to support our team and the chase for 8.

Make Stoney’s your NYE 2016 HQ. We will have both playoff games showing on over 50 TVs, drink specials throughout the day and night, champagne toast at midnight, complementary buffet, and a DJ spinning all your favorite tunes all night long…all night…all night…all night long! There is a darn good chance we could break the record of 725 set just this year. What does that mean??? Come early to claim your spot to as we end 2015 with a bang!

Reminder about the Inaugural Holiday Gathering
This is your friendly reminder that OU Club of Colorado will be hosting its first Holiday gathering Saturday, December 12 from 1-3pm at Stoney’s (1111 Lincoln). Our special host for the event is none other than Mr. Silver Shoes himself, Joe Washington. Joe will be on hand to address Sooner fans as well as be available to sign his book, “The Seven Secrets of the Silver Shoes.”  Our game day specials will be available that day. We hope to be showing the Men’s Sooner Basketball game against Oral Roberts starting at 12pm MST.

Another Record Set?

I am honored and thrilled to report that the OU Club of Colorado has set another record. Thanks to the generous donations from our Colorado Sooner family, we raised over $600 in our final silent auction of the year. I cannot say thank you enough to all that have supported the club through memberships, t-shirt sales, and our silent auction. We are on pace for a record amount of dollars raised for scholarships, which is matched by the university. We will have one, hopefully two, more opportunities to donate to the club. Your donation is a tax deduction too, so make sure you get your receipt for your generosity.
